CENTRAL FESTIVAL HATYAI, THAILAND

September 07, 2016

After we unpacked our things and took a short nap, we walked to Lee Garden mall to have our lunch. However, there were not many choices there and my friends told me that they wanted to try local food instead of the fast food that were sold in the mall. So we board a tuk tuk to go to the Central Festival mall. It was very hot in the afternoon and we felt like we wanted to recharge from the long bus journey from KL. So we decided to have our lunch in the mall. And I told my friend to 'save' their stomach for the night market's food.

Whee. Happy kids on a tuk tuk. A bumpy trip to the mall. For solo travelers, it's better to go back to the centre of Hatyai city before the evening. The road from the mall back to Hatyai city was very dark and some roads that the tuk tuk passed by were without streetlights and deserted. Luckily there were four of us in the tuk tuk.

This was my lunch. Thai fried rice!

I ordered McFlurry for my dessert.

The entrance of the mall. There were security checks in most of the malls in Hatyai.

Sia: So nervous la first time I try this.
Marry: Look not bad actually la..Like Malay's laksa..Hmm.

Sia: I'm too hungry already..Just eat la.
Marry: Me too leh. slurp..

Sia: Om Nom Nom Nom Nom.. Not bad huh. I can accept the taste la.
My friends ordered the Thai traditional food. Their comment on the food was not bad.

Lol. Random guy photoboom this photo.

Wefie like nobody's businesses. We owned the mall. XD. Too bored. Too disappointed because the price for ice-skating was expensive on that day.

We also hunt for the Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream! We ordered Yogurt flavour and Lavender flavour. All tasted like heaven~ 60THB per scoop.

Refreshing!

After spending the hot afternoon in the mall, we walked to the Asean night market. Many tuk tuk drivers were calling us to take the rides. We googled the distance it's just 5 minutes' walk to reach the night market. So, we choose to walk to save budget. And Central Festival mall is really near to Asean night market. However, the traffic there were crazy. We had to be extra be careful to cross the roads. Cars, motorcycles and tuk tuk were speeding in all ways.
