TATTON PARK - THE FARM
December 01, 2019
After the Tatton Park Classic Car Show , we went Tatton Park-The Farm. I'm a person who love animals so Boi suggested to bring me to this park instead of the mansion. This was really a great idea. I didn't expect this farm to be so great!!!! My bf and I had been to some farms in Malaysia. I could review that this farm was the best farm! Tatton Park's farm is so authentic! Can you believe that it's actually a 40's working farm? This farm reminds me of the Babe movie!!!!! Why??? This is because I always want to see a pig in real life! When my bf told me that this farm probably had pigs, I was really over the moon. The piggery was actually located on the left hand side from the entrance but we didn't realise that's the piggery. I was glad that it was the last section that we visited because I thought there're less than 10 pigs in the pigs. Surprsingly, there were more than that!!!! I just ticked off one of my bucketlist. To be honest, it's not easy for me to see pigs in Malaysia so this was really a nice experience for me when I travelled to England.
There're so much things to do in this farm. The farm is very well-maintained. I'd never seen lots of fat chickens running in front of me. Even though my kampung also has lots of chickens but hey these chickens were so different and most importantly they're so fat!!!!! Besides that, when I looked up the sky at times I could see flocks of birds flying above the gloomy sky. These pigeons just perched on most of the roofs of the farm. What a sight!
This was our first station. We saw a cow and a calf. The milking and feeding session was quite late so we didn't get to watch the demonstration.
The sky looked so gloomy. Well.As usual, England and its rainy weather.
The entrance to the woodland playtrail before we discovered the seasonal maize maze. Oh wait a minute! It's a raindeer. It's right in front of me. Real close.
Just a random padlock but it looked so unique.
Left a note. Spot my note.
1. Discovering the original Slaughterhouse
In this place. we learned how slaughter was carried out in the past and about good animal husbandry today. This Slaughterhouse may not be suitable for all ages. I was frightened by something when I stepped into the Slaughterhouse. I cannot tell you what it is. Visit this farm and you'll know it.
2. Seasonal maize maze
I was so excited when I thought I could see a maze in real life. However, I didn't realise that it was seasonal. :(((( The maize was still growing when we were there. Anyway, we took some nice photos when we were on our way to find the maze.
3. Renovated Century Mill
We also went to have a look on their recently renovated 18th Century Mill. No photos were taken because we were having fun when we explored the building.
4. Piggery
Are you excited to see some pigs? Because I am! I feel happy when I browse the pig photos again. Lol. They're so cute! *Heavy breathing* I really wanted to shout out loud when I saw them, 'Omg! Pigsssss and lots of them!' but I couldn't. Lmao. As usual, I had to hide my excitement because there're other people in the farm as well.
This was the first pig that I saw! It was so huge! This was not the biggest pig in the farm.
*Oink Oink*
Life's good.
Real close babehhhh!
AWWWWWW. They're not stinky!
This pig looked a bit lonely.
This one had a special look.
And....this pig just gave birth a few days ago.
5. The farmers and the caretakers' cottage
In conclusion, I had a whale of time here. I can't wait to have another farm experience in the future.❤️
