KECAK AND FIRE DANCE, ULUWATU TEMPLE
April 06, 2020
After our trip to Ubud Tegenungan Waterfall, our driver drove us to Uluwatu temple. It took us around one hour from Ubud to reach Uluwatu. It's such a long journey so we spent most of our time in the car. Then we had pork rib in a western restaurant. When we arrived at Uluwatu temple, it was almost 5pm and the Kecak Dance was going to start soon. Luckily our driver suggested to help us to buy the Kecak Fire Dance tickets. We wouldn't be able to watch the show without him. I didn't expect the queue for the Kecak Fire Dance was insane! They only have one show per day and it's peak season, hence the crazy crowd. Our driver queued up for us for almost half an hour. Really pity him. It was scorching hot that evening and the show was in an outdoor amphitheatre. The crowd kept coming in even though the gate was already closed. The heat and the crowd were quite annoying but luckily the show was fantastic!
Our faces before the show. We're so sweaty and we wished we had some drinks before the show. We didn't want to drink water because it's quite hard to move once we sat down. Lmao.
It's really crowded! If you want to come here and watch the show. Buy your tickets online!!! You can buy the tickets from Klook. It's one of my favourite travel application now.
The show started with chanting from the male performers. Look how close the tourists sat with the performers. It was a fire show and it's quite dangerous for them to sit so close with the performers.

One of the characters from the story.
The princess.
The white monkey.
I was stunned when I saw the performer jumped from the floor to the wall in a spilt second! The wall was really high.
This monkey was obviously the highlight of the show.
Interactive show.
