I find that Mayella Ewell is quite an interesting character in the novel To Kill A Mocking Bird.

She hungers for love and affection which she cannot get  from her father Bob Ewell.Her beastly father is the one who has contributed to her dull,sorrowful and harsh life.She is nineteen years old but she seems to have no friends.She does not even know what FRIENDS are.The way she speaks in the courtroom shows that she is not a well-educated person.She can be considered as a not civilised individual either.She is so desperate that she plans to have an intimate conversation with Tom in her house. For  example,"took me a slap year to seb'm nickels,but I done it.They all gone to town." She lets all the children go to the town to buy ice-cream so that they won't disturb her and Tom.Unfortunately,her plan fails because her father suddenly come  back and they are caught by red handed at the scene.



*Life is so wonderful because we get the precious chance to go to assembly very early in the morning daily.

I just learned this word from my lecturer today. It is an adjective.It describes a person who is able to suffer pain or trouble without complaining or showing what they are feeling. Some people in this world  are like MRS.DUBOSE too. They need to battle with their pains too. Mrs.Dubose is very sick but she refuse to take morphine. She is afraid that she'll addicted to it. She suffers her pain alone. Moreover,people misunderstand her. They thought she is not a nice person to approach with. They don't know. They DON'T KNOW that when a human with a timed-boom in their body will get angry easily. They're very emotional because......they don't know how to express their pains. For instance, when a female is having menstruation. She will becomes very fussy. So, the patient will also having the same situation like that. This is because they are having something inside them and they're worried about that. Apart from that, Mrs.Dubose does not tell to anyone that she is having a health problem. She does not want to seek for emphaty from people. She is so brave and she is having a very strong will.



It's a sad story.
