A Hidden Gem in Janda Baik – Sailor's Rest Resort

I recently spent two days one night at Sailor's Rest Resort in Janda Baik, and it was nothing short of magical. Just 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur, this resort feels like a world away—surrounded by rainforest, cooled by mountain breezes, and serenaded by the gentle sound of the nearby stream.

🏕️ Accommodation: Unique & Charming

We stayed in the boathouse. It was something unusual and it was my first boathouse stay!The boathouse was surprisingly spacious and cozy. It came with a bathroom so we didn't have to share bathroom with others.

🌊 Nature at Your Doorstep

The highlight for me was the natural surroundings . After we checked in, we immediately went for a dip in the cold, clear stream just a short walk from our boathouse.  In the evening we strolled through the resort's orchard and gardens. 

🍽️ Food & Facilities

Breakfast was simple but tasty—nasi lemak and some kuih. There's no on-site restaurant, so we drove a short distance to nearby restaurants for dinner. 

Would I return? Absolutely.
