FRIM FOREST SKYWALK
January 05, 2022Finally I have the time to blog after our very longgggg school holiday. We were not at home almost every single day. We didn't travel oversea so we decided to spend our Christmas and New Year in Kuala Lumpur. My bf drove so many times from Seremban to Kuala Lumpur. Another reason that we couldn't really stay at home because of our annoying and noisy upstairs neighbour. I mean they're quite quiet compared with the previous neighbour. However, my bf just couldn't tolerate the chair scrappings and heavy footsteps noise. Like seriously if they happen to read this.. I really hope they can be more considerate. Ugh. I really enjoyed our day out. It was really exhausted because of our non stop travelling. I think I will really appreaciate all these adventures before we get married and have kids. So we just go out and have fun whenever we can.
I want to visit the FRIM Forest Skywalk since two years ago. Due to several reasons like lockdown, this place is always close and etc, I finally managed to book a slot for us! I felt happy because I managed to book the observe tower for us as well.Thee are limited quota for the 18meter skywalk and the 50meter observe tower daily.
There are 12 slots per day. The quota for skywalk is 40 people per slot and the quota for the observe tower is 6 to 8 people depends on the slot.
We booked the 11.30am slot because we drove from Seremban and we didn't want to wake up too early. We lef home at 9.40am and we arrived Taman Botani Kepong at 10.40a.m. We parked up and walked to the skywalk area before our slot started. The walk from the carpark to the skywalk was quite far. So you really have to come 30minutes early before your walk.
How much did we pay for the Skywalk
RM5 for the Visitor Entrance fee to Taman Botani Kepong.
RM5 for the parking fee
RM10 for the 18m forest skywalk
RM10 for the 50m observe tower
RM10 for the 50m observe tower
My bf is a foreigner so he had to pay extra for this. :'(
RM40 for the 18m forest skywalk
Rm15 for the 50m observe tower
It was quite a lot when I summed it up however it was really worth the experience!
It is advisible to book your slot online because they don't accept walk in. We booked it here one week before our visit because the tickets sold out real fast! We printed our online tickets and health declaration form. Then the lady issued us these tickets to us that day.
*Heavybreathing*
The 18meter skywalk. The distance of the skywalk was shorter than I expected. So we just walked slowly to enjoy the moment. Luckily we wore proper shoes that day because you are not allow to do skywalk in your slippers and sandals. Andrew almost slipped when we were on our way to the exit. The staircase was narrow and they were very slippery after the rain.
We could spot the 50 meter observe tower from here. It has been a while since my Sydney Climb. So the 50meter height was considered okayy to me. Two guys in our slot didn't make it to the top of the observe tower because they were afraid of the height.
Waiting for our turn to climb the observe tower.
We were inside the tower to queue up and climb the tower.
Yay! We made it. The staff gave us 5 minutes when we were on top of our observe tower. When we reached the top, it started to rain!!! We quickly took some photos before we left. We didn't even get to enjoy the view properly.
Amazing view from the 50 meter tower.
I could spot Arte Mont Kiara, KL Tower, Twin Towers and the PNB118 tower (world's second tallest building soon) from here.
We didn't manage to walk around Taman Botani Kepong because it rained heavily after our walk. So we went to One Utama Mall to have our lunch. At first we planned to have our lunch at Chili's but it was so packed. Other restaurants were so packed as well. Then we tried O'Briens. Hmm..it was tasty but the price was really expensive for sandwiches. We ordered 2 sets of sandwiches and 2 mushroom soup. Total was RM40 ish...quite pricey right?
Then we called it a day and went home.
