I am very busy lately and I really want to write down everything of my Taiwan journey here. However, I can't write too details. :( No time. So I just simplify most of my blog posts. Before I forget everything, I want to list down the food that we ate during our trip.

1. Rou Dan Tu Si

We ordered pork sandwich...so nice!!!!

12. Stir-fried paku (wild fern shoots), stewed eggs, dou fu gan and noodles. 

Address: I really forgot. This is the best food that I had in my taichung trip.

My friends said it was good.  For me, it tasted so weird...:(

After visiting the Grand Taipei Hotel, we went to Martyrs' Shrine (Zhong Lie Ci). We were very lucky to watch the soldier changing ceremony there. We were told that there were several changing shift per day and we managed to watch the morning shift.

It's not an easy job for them.They could not move and laugh when they were on duty. Even though some people tried to take funny photo in front of them, they just stood there like statues. The guy was actually helping one of the soldiers to wipe off his sweat.

Tamsui is definitely another great place in Taiwan. We took the red line MRT to reach there and it was the last station in the red line route. We went there in the afternoon and the weather was really hot. Before we went sight-seeing at the Tamsui Fisherman Wharf, we went to a shopping mall.

The driver told us it's not easy to become a street artist in Taiwan. They had to sit for examination. We were like Wah...really...why? He didn't answered but he just said, 'Everything in our country need examination.' We just responded ooooh...lol. It was really hot that day. It was 34 degree celsius and I really felt pity when I saw him performing. Basically the street artists' income is from the money that the tourist put into their box. When he performed, he was surrounded by lots of people. People just watched the performance.Some seemed to be in awe. Some people just left after they watched him performing. Some people just wanted to take photo with him. I noticed that there's no people giving him money. If you don't want to give money, the least that you can give is your applause. This is really not an easy job. Thumbs up for the street artists!

We had our lunch at Tamsui Old Street. Lots of delicious street food were sold here. We ordered 'Tamsui Arcade' and purchased these jumbo ice cream. Love the matcha ice cream so much. Quench our thirst!!!

Grand Taipei Hotel is located at Zhongshan District, Taipei. The building itself looks so grand and when you take the MRT (RED Line) you can spot the hotel from the window of the train. Spot it.If you plan to visit Grand Taipei Hotel, I suggest that you take a cab to reach there. This is because it'll be very difficult to reach there using MRT. One of the notable guests that had stayed in this hotel was Nelson Mandela. 

We just cannot afford to stay here...Thanks to Mr..(I forgot his name), our taxi driver for bringing us here.

2. Ginger Tea. Bought it at Damsui Old Street. NTD 200 per package. There are 12 cubes in each package. 

Put the cube into a cup. Add 200 ml of hot water and it's ready to be served. You can add more water to dilute the ginger's taste.

3. Bought it at a shopping mall somewhere near Ximending area.

4. Honey Museum, Carton King, Taichung. (NTD 350).

11. My Beauty Diary. 10 sheets for (NTD 210) Bought it at Cosmed.

12. Souvenir for our course mates. This was the cheapest souvenir that we could get. (1 pencil for NTD 20) , We bought 14. We bought it at Damsui Old Street. The souvenir sold at Taipei were very expensive! 

13. Marry's. Cheap! Ma Cherie Product. 

14. Marry bought this at Nature Republic, Ximending. Very cheap!!!!! NTD 90 if I'm not mistaken.
