Mee Udang Special

Kuala Sepetang Ecotourism is just stone's throw distance from the Mee Udang restaurant.

I bought some charcoal from the shop haha.

Let's goooooo.

It's just three of us in the cruise tour so the ticket price was a bit pricey.

Our first tour was the Kuala Sepetang Mangrove tour.

Eagle feeding was the activity of the boat tour.

Fish farm tour was also included in the package. Fish food is included so we can feed as much as we want to the Tilapia fishes.

I was really afraid of it.

I don't really like fish but puffer fish changed my mind. Look at them!!! Cuteness overload!!!!

Bloop bloop!

It was not peak season so we just walked in and join the tour.

Overall experience: It's better than I thought and Kuala Sepetang is cleaner than Kuala Selangor.

ANTONG COFFEE MILL

Coffee lover? I think this is the best place for you to go when you visit Taiping. It's a small coffee mill and when we arrived the staffs were busy. So we didn't experienced the full coffee tour.

After we visited the coffee mill, we walked to Sun Yat Sun mansion which was located right beside the coffee mill. This was the house where Sun Yat Sun used to live. All the traditional items during the yesteryears are displayed in the house.

RM8 for one bottle of coffee. It tasted very nice and it had minty after taste. The bottle looked really cute but I have too many things in my house so I decided to throw it away.

Coffee, tea , or us????

PERAK MUSEUM, TAIPING

museum March 19, 2022

The next day after our Maxwell Hill hike, we visited the oldest museum in Malaysia, The Perak Museum. We didn't expect much before we entered the museum. We thought it's just another typical museum that we had been to with lots of photos and facts. I was really in awe with some of the displays in this museum.

You can see the misty Maxwell Hill from the museum.

MAXWELL HILL , TAIPING

hiking March 18, 2022

When we found out that the jeep service was not available after we booked our hotel, it's too late to change our plan. So we decided to take the challenge to hike 20km!!!! I had to say I was glad that we always hike so we were quite physically prepared for this Maxwell hike. I almost gave up after we arrived at one of the bungalow. Little did I know that the hanging bridge was just 5 minutes' walk from the bungalow.

It took us 3 hours to finish the 20km hike. We were really exhausted and the hike downhill was quite a challenge because it was so steep. I could really feel my toes after the hike. Then our thighs were so sore after the hike. I couldn't really walk fast that day so we went to buy yokoyoko at night. After the hike we went to meet up with my friend. We had a nice day at Kuala Sepetang. In the evening we went to Taiping Night Zoo.

There was only one toilet at the Maxwell Hill entrance. If you are a small bladder person like me, please make sure you pee before the hike! I was glad that I didn't go to the toilet at all during the 3 hours' hike.

Another stop at the Tea House.

Worth the hike for this amazing view!!!! Everything here was so torn and some of the hotels were not operating anymore.

We just stopped our hike here and we didn't make it to the TM tower which was the top of Maxwell Hill. Even though it's just few kilometres to go but luckily we didn't proceed. I don't think we can walk anymore if we still continue the hike.

My friend told me that the straight road in this photo was actually the road to Kuala Sepetang.

Total steps for that day. The day when I walked the most in my life lol.

So happy to call it a day and returned to our airbnb. It's called Raintown Cottage.

You can get a nice view of Maxwell Hill from this airbnb in the morning!

TANJUNG TUALANG TIN DREDGE NO.5

We went there last year but we didn't manage to join the tour. After a year, I finally entered the tin dredge!!!! I was really excited and we rushed from Taiping to Batu Gajah because we didn't want to miss the tour again.

Look at it!

We signed a form before we entered the dredge. The duration of the tour was 30 minutes. Personally I don't think that's enough. This was because after listening to the guide's explanation, I wished we had more time to explore the place by ourselves. Besides that, we were only allowed to visit the ground floor of the dredge. I really wanted to climb the stairs to explore other areas but all the stairs looked really rusty!
